Question RE: Lucious Radience Red Neck Pup

I notice on Steve's site that the Radiance red Luke has the exposed pole piece neck pup. I know it's still an EMG, just curious if anyone knows what the skinny is?

SLV with exposed poles, or maybe a normal SAV or SV for more vintage tone?

probably a sustainer, look at the pic you can see an additional switch to switch it on/off

Hmm..never seen a sustainer with pole's like that. And usially 2 switches. I figured the second switch was piezo.

Hmm..Like I said though, USUALLY sustainers have 2 switches. ONe for on/off and one for octave (feedback) or fundamental note.

But the other one on his site does look like it has a sustainer logo.

I've tried them in Fernandes guitars. They're fun. But after awhile I start mimicking Firetrucks, so I've not gotten one form myself LOL.

If used to color certain songs sparingly, it works ok. Take Neal Schon for instance. He uses it very tastefully. Other people (guess who) have overused it to the point that I almost hate the thing. I wouldn't put it in my only guitar, but if I had a few extras of the same model I would. (guess I have to by 3 more Lukes 1. w/ the piezo, one w/ the sustainer, and one w/ the maple top )
