I'm thinking as my next Ball, I'm gonna order a Y2D. I originally wanted to get another JP, but now I'm thinking I want something different. I know that the Y2D is probably very versatile, but I play alot of prog/hard rock/metal. Can the Y2D do real heavy music? Also, with the Y2D with the Floyd, the Floyd only lowers the pitch, correct? Thanks for the replies in advance.

Yeah, not a problem for heavy sounds. The bridge p'up is killer with a lot of gain. Listen to some new Deep Purple for samples. Or to the Egnager clip that John C just posted in the "Morse and new Egnater EG5" thread.

Yup, floyd lowers pitch only.

I agree with everything that's been said above.

The Floyd is good - it only lowers pitch and has the Floyd style locking nut. This makes it stable and easy to change strings. I have had floating Floyds in the past and couldn't cope with them.
