Radiance Red vs CAR

What's the difference?

There was a sweeeet red 2h sterling at the OH, and was wondering what that one was.

Radiance Red is a lighter more brilliant red with a very fine metallic silver base. It is very smooth and silky lookiing- probably the best red we've offered since I've been around. CAR is a darker red with a little more textured base to it. It's a classic that has been around for a while and it never loses its appeal.

I'd say the Radiance is a bit more on the modern side(my favorite), whereas the CAR is more traditional.

So is the red on the SR5 in this NAMM shot CAR or RR?

The SR5 in that pic is CAR. Radiance Red is "brighter" in appearance than CAR.

Anyone have a picture of a Radiance Red Bass? Or a guitar would do, too, as I'm just looking to A/B them.

Ok, so I saw the color chart on the MusicMan page on the website. But those colors look a little off to me. Dunno. I'm looking to pull the trigger, but I have nowhere to look for a "real life" comparison between the two.

On the MM color chart, RR looks the same as Lava Pearl, whereas CAR looks darker than in the NAMM picture.

I own a Candy Red Bongo and I'm almost 100% sure that the bass in the picture is Candy Red. I've taken pictures of my bongo and that bass in the picture has the same deep red color as my bass.

Check out Bass Central's listing of Bongos. I think it very clearly shows the difference between CAR and RR. I love both colors and would probably take RR on a Bongo and CAR on a Sterling, since it's a bit more traditional in looks.

RR is a much brighter, more vivid red than CAR. They're both nice though.
