Reflex Gamechanger pickup question

Hi Everyone,

I'm considering picking up a Reflex Gamechanger guitar in the HSH configuration, but I have one question about the pickups. I own an Axis SS, which of course has hum cancelling on the two single-coil combination positions (position 2&4; inside coils and outside coils, I believe). I presume this is because one of the pickups is Reverse Wound, Reverse Polarity (RWRP) from the other.

Are any of the pickups in the Reflex Gamechanger RWRP? I'm curious whether any of the single coil combinations will be hum-cancelling in the same way that my Axis SS is? If not, can any of the adjustable settings for the pickups allow you to create hum-cancelling single coil combinations?

I know the Gamechanger software allows you to switch the phase of a pickup, but I believe this is a different thing than switching polarity. I'm somewhat ignorant about these more technical details regarding pickups, so please be patient with me! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Leigh.

In case anyone else is interested in this too, I had the chance to play a HSH Reflex Gamechanger today. Looks like the stock positions in Banks A and B are NOT hum-cancelling. My guess would be that this means that none of the coils are RWRP, so there would be no hum cancelling positions.

I'd rather wait for EBMM official statement on that one, maybe you can also post theis question in the Game Changer part of this forum, someone will probably show up there

I would wait as well. It seems to me that the middle pickup would be reverse wound so that combinations of a single coil in the neck or bridge position would be hum canceling when combined with the middle pickup.

I'm pretty sure the humbuckers will be humbucking, so they will each have one coil RWRP, as they should. Some of the possible combinations with the other coils will be humbucking and some will not.

The Game Changer IS equipped with hum canceling coils, especially in the stock A/B banks. Please note however, because you can create any combination and phase of the pickups, not all combinations in the millions you can create cancel hum perfectly. Also, single coil options don't have the "luxury" of canceling hum, do to the fact their is only one coil on!

Hope that cleared things up!
