registered my 2 guitars online. do I get the strings (it's been awhile since I registered them and thought I'd see some strings by now) or do I need to send the cards in the mail?

Did you tell them what type of strings you wanted ?? Just give it time, it sometimes takes awhile. I registered all my EB's online and got my strings, it would usually take them about 4-6 weeks to get to my house. Just be patient, they'll come.

I didn't get any strings, when I registered my SUB1 maybe cause I'm just a Canadian :(

You'll get them eventually, but you've got to be patient... Strings are shipped out by one of the staff "as they have time", so we've all waited for quite a while before our "register on-line" strings arrived - but they do eventually arrive! :D

It also depends on when the guitars were made. We are no longer offering strings.

Jon - do you have an idea what the cutoff date is? Just wondering if I should expect strings or not. I registered back in September.
Thanks

I think we stopped back in March or before. If your guitar came with a hangtag with the offer on it, we will honor it. I don't know anymore than that as I am just a humble repair tech and do not know of these things :D

I'm still waiting for my Axis Strings and it's been 4 months since I registered... it does take a while. :p

Some information particular to the string issue is in the "rules of the road" thread. As far as the status of this issue, I have emailed Derek to see if he can clarify this for us. Once we have this sorted out, I will update that thread with the most current information. (Thanks for the hang tag highlight, Jon!) :)

HI Guys,

I have spoken to the appropriate department and would like to clarify this issue. The free string promotion was discontinued in April of this year. At this time the hang tag on the guitars shipped would not specify free strings. If a customer bought a Music Man guitar or bass that was shipped before April with the hang tag that specifies the promotion, Ernie Ball/Music Man will honor that. To claim your strings the hang tag must be sent in to the address provided on the card. On-line registrants after April would not be subject to free strings.

Best,

Derek

Derek,

To the best of your knowledge, do the guitars we order at least still come with strings on them?

;)

Derek,

thanks for the clarification, I was wondering why the strings hadn't arrived yet.

I have the hang tag with the string promotion, but have since registered online. If I now send the registration card to claim the strings will I be registered twice and more importantly will it affect my warranty?

Thanks

Please send the card in. We can check to see if the serial number is in our system already via the Internet. If it is we will not enter it in twice. Strings will only be sent when the card is received.

Thanks

Derek

Nice...the rules of the road has been updated with this information. Thanks to Derek for being the man, and getting us all back in line. :)
