One of my very favourite players and one of the reasons why I'll try to get a SS in the near future... :D

What a cool video. Which reminds me, while I'm at it, to our wonderful French cousins...

It's not pronounced "Jamie Rock-Waï" (they do refer to JK as "Jamie" over here), it's closer to "Jammiro-Kwai".

We'll deal with Illinois Jacquet, Hoagy Carmichael, and Stevie Ray Vaughan another day.

Funny frogs, I love 'em. I now it's not easy for 'em either, English based words and names can be tricky for lots of folk. But the expat musicians over here still love to have a few beers and play the "pronounce musician and band names like you are French" game. It's a hoot. You boys would love it. :)

That song was pretty bad ass.... I need to hear more from that band.

I have all of their recorded (and live) output

there really isnt a bad song and the only other band I can say that about is The Mighty DT

Everyone should own a few Jamiroquai albums, hot stuff

A funk Odyssey is a good album to start of on I think especially guitar wise, that was also his EBMM stage too.

He has now returned to the darkside :mad::mad::mad:

yep he's gone back to strats again... and he's also using Lonestars now... I really loved his tone here with the old Marshalls and the SS... his sound now just dosen't appeal to me like it did... the range of tones he gets from this guitar is kinda what I'd like to be able to get.. nice choppy funk to grinding rock...:D love it..

yeah with the Silhs and Old Marshalls he had a more controversial funk tone as it was really quite RAWKIN!!

But now with the Strats and the Lonestars which are SUPER clean amps he has gone the way of the more conventional funkateer tone route

This said I love his tone now too but back in the day he wasnt playing it safe in the funk playground with those Marshalls and Hughes and Kettners

Gotta Love a wee bit Jimmy Reekie!!!:D
