i have a music slash computer room in the basement which i have a dehumidifier in the room. i set it 55% all yr round. i do have a whole house humidifier for the rest of the house in the winter but my room stays at a constent 55 to 60% is this ok for my guitars and ok for them to be out of there cases and hung.

see i have seen that and read that between 50 and 60 constant is good to so just was thinking about it so thought i owuld ask.

Good question. I'm sure Jon will chime in when he comes online, or you can always contact MM customer support.

gibson acoustics are really SUPER sensitive to humidity swings.........& their manufacturer recomondations are 45-55 % for your guitar room. so if your at 60%......you will be just fine.
low humidity is the first thing to affect ebmm guitars. watch out for extended exposier to 20-30 % heated air...........u WILL grow fret sprouts !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as on any guitar.......the wood will shrink. on acoustics it can shink so much the tops split..........finish & all. ebmms are much much less sensitive than acoustics........but u still have to take care.
