Is a 040. extra slinky bassguitar string the same as a 040. extra slinky electric guitar string? cuz I broke it ...
I'm also gonna try th Les Claypool String thing :
2 A strings (080.) en 2 G strings (040.) (tuned EADG ofcourse)
Any comments ??

No. The ball end is smaller and the string is shorter on the guitar string.
