Question Brian. Are you going to change the body say like a JP12 or 13?
I can imagine the cost thats involved in the change and that probably answers my own question?

We'd love to add another model to the SBMM JP lineup in the future, but nothing past the 'want' stage. We're fortunate enough to do what we do now :)
 
Yeah I think I'll hafta buy one. Had the JP50 Stealth and it was really a great quality instrument. And this is coming out just in time for tax return! :D
 
Thanks Brian for sharing this, looks great. Is the Hawaiian Koa top a veneer just like on the JP100Ds?

Maybe this was mentioned before but in the EU a used unloaded JP6 costs nearly the same as a new Sterling JP100d. In the US these the import versions offer a really great value for the price but in the EU a JP100D costs about € 1.150 atm which are $ 1760. I know taxes, shipping, distribution and marketing costs are responsible for the higher prices.

As you can see in the links a used Music Man will not cost much more than a new SBMM JP100D:

I´d like to give a JP100D-MKOA a shot but the pricerange of SBMM instruments in the EU is killing my gas somehow.
 
That is amazing. I love my koa JP BFR. Will be great to have a more affordable version of it available.
 
I must say that this was definitely one of my favorite guitars at the factory. You guys HAVE to see this thing in person and PLAY it. It's amazing!
 
Any news on when this is going to be released? I'm buying a Sterling JP and would love for it to be this one!

Thanks for the info. I actually called them after posting and they told me the same thing. I also asked a friend, who is the amp buyer for Guitar Center, and they are expecting them in April. He also got me a 20% off friends and family coupon. So it's a tough decision. Full price now, or cheaper later.
 
What's the street price for this new beauty? I don't see it mentioned anywhere.
