I got a translucent teal stingray with a black pick guard and maple neck yesterday, and was wondering if anyone can give me a more precise 'date of birth' for it, because at the moment the only thing I know is its a 2000 model, and that might not be definate (I looked on the serial number post) The serial is E12326. Thanks for your help.

Thanks :) Yeah i've been there before, I THINK that its a 2000 model, but im not sure, and thats all I can tell. Just wondering if anyone knew how to find out more info or anything....

In relation to the serial lists on my web page, the "E" prefixed serials for both the SR4s and SR5s can be used in conjunction with each other to pinpoint a date. I believe the serials weren't duplicated for both models eg:

From my experience, if "E12345" was used for a 'Ray, you wont find an SR5 with the same serial number "E12345".

Nearly all EB serials run in chronologial order. It's only a very small percentage that don't.

On the other hand, the Pre-EB serials are all over the place....like the dinner plate of my trusty canine pet "Mugga" ;)
