After you buy a guitar, how long would be the proper time to wait to send a guitar back to the factory and have it set-up and looked over with a fine tooth comb just to make sure everything was in perfect running order ??
Dfrady, well unless there are serious issues with your guitar I'm not sure that they will do setups and what not for you. The Pimping that Fred talked about was done inconjunction with neck issues that he was having with his JP. The pimping that Jon did to my AL was that I had fret issues with a new purchase (still under warranty).
If setups are your problem I know that most here recommend you learn to do them yourself. I don't personally know how to do them, but as soon as I can locate the Dan Erlewine book I gonna learn myself.
