Silhouette Trem Question

I'm eyeing but haven't been able to play a Silhouette - perhaps this weekend. In the mean time, I have a question - what's the range like on the trem? Does it allow for raising the pitch? Can you take the strings slack? If not, how close?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Well to me the trem is wonderfull and stays in tune perfectly, unless you go postal on it dice bombing for like an hour. You CAN raise pitch if you set it up that way, but they come flush with the body. The LUKE guitars have the same trem system and they are set up to float, and it works for LUKE just fine going from a Floyd. Dont know what you mean about the string slacking question tho.
