Just for grins I decided to swap the pickguard assemblies. This modular concept is pretty neat!

Thanks, gents, for your input.

I didn't expect to like the tort on "sundown", but it gives it a bit of vintage look, me thinks. Unsure whether to replace the yellowed knobs and pup covers now. The black on blue looks severe/stern/serious/bad-ass.

I function tested them and I swear they each sound a bit different then before, though the pickups are stock in both, and both set to approximately the same height. Is that likely or even possible that the same model pickups could sound different? Then again, at 2AM, it could have been just my imagination.

I like 'em better this way too (although, I think the tort and white on the blue looked very very good too - maybe best for both?). But yeah, that Redrise with the tort is really nice - man if that were 24 frets.............

Norrin, yes, I recall you having a preference for the white pearl. Thanks, man.

Oh, it's not Redrise, it's Autumn Redburst.

Candid the pearl blue is IDENTICAL to mine now, I dont have a pic at work but you can do a search, I posted a pic of it a fe weeks ago, its literally identical - looks great, I would grab a black ice for the autumn redrise and retire the tortise for a bit - :D

Ponch, for 900 bucks you may borrow it as long as you'd like, bro. :D

J/k, you can borrow it as long as you remain in the hood - if you can call the Mohave Desert the hood. ;)

Thanks, Lock. Good to see more blue Silo love. I never took a shine to black or white ice guards. To me they look too cold, which I guess is why they're called ice!
