Which side would you choose?

I would go sterling. The body being closer to the size of my silos, the thinner necks, and weight primarily being my reason. For tonal options I would consider the big al but ultimately I think the sterling has me marked.

That and it bears the name of our favorite CEO!

And this is meant to be general. Hence the lack of special editions such as the 25th. Silo bass was left off since it's kind of in between...
 
which has the fattest neck? i like fat necks on bass guitars i seem to play better with them. for looks i couldn't go past the pinstiped stingray that Dargin posted on "the darkside" of this forum. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they were made available:cool:
 
I'd want a Bongo and a Big AL, but I'm sure the Sterling would be most comfy for me.
 
I’m also a guy who knows nothing about playing a bass, I’ve never even held one. By going with looks, I would be a Bongo player. That bass just looks too cool.
 
I've got a Bongo (from the original Dargie Delight run, no less..)

I think it's the fattest neck of the EB basses.. but I've never tried a Big AL yet. (Does that have a Sterling neck?)

I love the Bongo and I didn't think I would due to the fatter neck, but it's great.
I also love the Sterling neck and would feel right at home with one.
 
Sterling. I had a Stingray for a while, but had a tough time wrapping my guitar player hands around the neck. I sold the 'Ray and bought a used Sterling last year (on Halloween actually). The Sterling neck is thinner, and for me it's much easier to play. Both sound great.

I also had a vintage Rickenbacker, but I sold it cause I could never fix the input jack despite taking it to 3 different shops. That was a nice bass too, maybe I should have sent it to their factory to get it fixed... whatever, too late now.

This is interesting. Bongo is in the lead, with sterling second, and no votes from the guitar guys for the big al and the stingray.

I would think the big al is due to how new it is most haven't had the chance to try it.

As for the stingray, this sort of surprises me. It's sort of the top dog for ebmm isn't it?
