Do you put it under glass? Store it under your bed? Play it regularly but only at home and always put it away in the case? Or play the daylights out of it like it were any other guitar?

My friend who owns a Porsche 911 and drives it to work like it was a "regular" car told me, "If you can't afford to drive a car like this, you can afford to own a car like this."

Does his philosophy apply here? If you can't afford to play a $16k guitar, (thus decreasing it's value) should you bother buying one?

If you can't afford it, you shouldn't consider it.

If you CAN afford it, it's more than likely possible that you're a collector that knows about guitars, but not a clue about PLAYING guitar.

That thing sits in a glass case, with a light above it, and speakers that pump the Hallelujah Chorus from a CD player inside/behind the case. :)
