this neck is a one off by t.t./ebmm, and is not on production models . its for studio use only. even then, it will only be used on rhythm tracks. as much as steve plays, the frets would need replacing too frequently to be a main guitar.

I'm a dummy on this - so not trying to start a fight - just need some educating on this end!

Short answer, the comp nuts helps but no matter what you do fretted instruments are a compromise in tuning. (Not to mention the effect of pressing on the strings behind the fret ...)
