Hey Cat's,
I'm sure the difference in tone and output between my 77' Musicman and my Sr5, aside from the obvious, is the Alnico pick-up my 77' has and my 2001 Sr5 doesn't. Been thinking about that Seymore Basslines replacement pick-up, Alnico. Any opinion's on this? The fiver has much lower output, but the tone is there. Love to hear comment's about this, and any suggestion's.

I've been using a Nordstrand Alnico MM5.3 on my Status necked SR5 for a few months now. It's difficult to make a direct comparison because of the neck differences but it does have a beautiful growly tone. If you really want to change then it's worth considering.
