SR5's thru Aguilar Direct Box

After Sunday evening church service hearing how boomy and undefined our other worship bassist at our church was I ordered an Aguilar DB900 Tube direct box. Tried it out last night at Worship Team practice and our soundman just started grinning. My fretted and fretless SR5's sounded so deep and so clean that I am eliminating my Mesa 400+ amp + 4x10 cab altogether. Funny thing is that for the first half of practice I didn't even have it plugged in!!! It only got better once I added a little AC! Now my signal is: SR5's to Aggie DI to Mackie board to Crown power to JBL 1x15 + horn monitor and I'm loving it! And in a church thats seats about 650 our PA is Peavey PV2000 amp to (2) E-V Eliminator 18" subs and Crown power amp to (4) E-V Eliminator 1x15 + horn overhead mains. It thumps! Anyone else tried the Aggie DI? Gets my highest recommendation!

They do rock for a DI. I gotta get one. Tried one and liked it very much. Good choice there Spector.

Got it for $70.00 off - a blem unit from the Fiend! Couldn't find a mark on it!
