Hey all, I'm a new user of E.B. strings and I must say I love 'em. My question is ,what is the major diff. in the stainless strings and the nickel? Kind of interested to know if the tone is diff.

Stainless is a bit brighter, not quite as warm.

Thanks,
Greg

I used the Stainless strings for a while. They're a bit louder and brighter. Also, they have more "finger-sliding noise". They will wear down your frets as most frets, unless you play a Parker Fly, are nickel. IMHO, the woundstrings tend to be harder on your fingers.

Cheers,
