So here's a question: Any idea when the Sterling 5 will be available?

How will a Sterling 5 differ from the SR5 -- given that the SR5 has Sterling electronics. Different body shape, neck shape? New electronics not in the SR5?

Downsized body from the SR5. Maybe a different shape - more like a Sterling 4? I don't know. Electronics? Can't say I know. There is so much I don't know.

But Dargin's busy, too! Feel free to bother him after I get my red Bongo, though.

I'm hoping...

I'm hoping it will be just that. A sterling with 5 strings. I love sterlings... the size, the shape, the thinner neck, the back-mounted controls. It sounds like my mouth will be watering for awhile!

Me too, I love everything about sterlings. I want that tone in a 5 string Single pickup, coil switching, the works.

i fully support the 2007 timeframe for the intro of the Sterling 5 - it looks like im moving to a smaller place soon and there's no way in hell i can fit all my guitar cases in the new pad so ive got some things to figure out. Im assuming Ill have some sort of loft or whatnot built and ready to use in a year
