Sterling or Bongo

I'm not sure which bass to choose. I play pop/rock commercial. 4 peice band. I love the thin maple neck on the sterling. But I think the bongo might have a fatter more distinct tone.
I would love to here some input

a dual humbucking bongo. you got 24 frets, 2 humbuckers, musicman quality, what else could you ask for?

Is there anyway you can try both? Sometimes you pick up a bass and it just speaks to you-that's why I'm here. (I checked out an active 4 SUB and loved it!)

sub is good for the wallet, but if you like that and if you want to spend more money for a better version, go for the stingray or a sterling. probably the stingray

I'd say get a Sterling, just because they are lighter and more compact than a sting ray.

I just hate the painted back of the neck of the bongo ..

I have a Sterling ..and I wouldn't want anything else ..well maybe a StingRay and a Sting Ray 5 because ... I'm a collector nerd .. !
but the Bongo is my last choice
