the sub sterling came out at dallas namm show, and there are already members on the forum that have them. maybe ull get more posts on this thread aboot it.

heah, the picture is the one I ordered, it happens to be cinnnamon in color plus I ordered a black mate pickguard (choice between that and the shiny metal) I also ordered a tortise shell pickguard to try on it for looks.
There are no Sterling Subs in the stores at this time. I have a 6wk. waiting time on the one I ordered. The neck say's Sterling Sub.
The black on in the picture I took at Dallas did not have the name Sterling on it since it was a proto. but they will have when built for the public. Derek gave all the stats on it in one of his post awhile back.

It looks to be identical to the Stingray SUB with a Sterling sized body and neck. My guess is that the electronics are the same as those in the Stingray SUB...

why make the sterling sub with no switch? isn't it just a mutated stingray that way?

my guess is to keep production costs down. it does kinda suck but at least it offers another body/neck size for people who might not fully be into the StingRay. Besides, you can get into a Sterling SUB quickly then save all of the new found gig money (due to great tone from your new axe causing you to be a local sensation) and then get the real deal later on.

I forgot the other differences. look at the spec. in Derek's post and the picture I took, you will at that time understand; hopefully.
Seriously, the only reason I order the sterling sub is I like the slimmer neck and smaller body plus the eq. thing. Both have a really great sound.
