Steve Morse question

Those recent Steve Morse pics have me lusting for one. I've read of its versitility and am wondering if the Morse can get the same strat sound as my Silo Special SSS?

No. The biggest thing missing is the in-between quack positions.

The strat single coil does a good strat rhythm sound and the tele pickup has a great twang to it. And both HBs are really great at different things.

That said, the bridge PU splits really nicely and in combination with the strat pickup you can get a nice quack.

Other downside: no silent circuit, so the single coil sounds are noisier than on your silo spec.
