I tried using the search engine to ensure this isn't a repost but I did so while multi-tasking several to-dos so my apology if it is.

After watching this, I am reminded there is quite a valley between talent and TALENT.

I'm probably in the minority, but that just didn't do much for me. I am, however, interested in that gargantuan pedalboard and what he was doing with it...what is up with that? Was that the the kid from "Back to School" on drums? ha!

His pedalboard is mostly volume pedals to fade in/out the various delays he has set up for his wet rig. A really cool, smart setup.

I've got that DVD- man, I can't get enough of watching him play. For me, Steve Morse is the king. His writing, playing, acrobatics on the pedals and guitar controls when he plays- totally blows me away. And a really nice guy to boot.

I'd love to see those 3 videos on the website but for some reason they stutter and won't play - shame as it looks like a good watch! - I'll have to wait until the kids are off the net so I get all the broadband "pipe" to myself - it prolly should work then.

The idea of a MM book should be looked at together with a DVD of these neat clips - a limited edition maybe? My idea, - so put me down for one !

Morse, Petrucci, Via, Satch, Gatton, Luke - these guys are from another planet as far as I'm concerned... I can practice their licks until my fingers bleed, and I never, ever get close to the flow and form and tone they let loose so freely... I've been playing and gigging all my adult life, and I'm consistently amazed by them. They're monsters, for sure, and I'm just happy that this little cover-band hack gets a chance to appreciate the great music they make for us mere mortals. Listening to these guys play can transport me in ways that nothing else does...
