Interesting modded morse model. The description says "Steve had this option custom built into his guitars so he could play his classical and acoustic pieces on stage without switching instruments."

Now, any time I've seen Steve Morse, he played his classical and acoustic pieces on...an acoustic guitar!

Anybody seen him play an electric with a piezo?

steve does have an ebmm one off blueburst solidbody w/ some sort piezo.
it doesn't have all the other pickups on it though.....
i'll try to dig a photo somewhere....
 
It was on eBay, the listing has since been removed. I think I saved that one somewhere; it was just a Morse with a few extra knobs on it. (Not unlike mine which also has a piezo now.)

We'll have to wait and see if Steve liked it. If he did, then I bet there's a good chance of it being an option.

Naw, I think there are a few out there. When I called Graph Tech about picking the replacement bridge, they told me they'd done a few installs ... so they're floating around! (Makes an unbelievable guitar even more versatile. Like, a million sonic possibilities ...!)

Btw, I think this is the pic from that auction:

I like my system with the dual concentric pots better - you can still get to the tone control easily.

Not relevant, but I don't like how light the blueburst finish is. Looks better darker.

I've noticed that the Morse seems to be coming from the factory darker these days. Might be my imagination. That extra knob looks a little clumsy to me. The dual concentric pots would be more streamlined and better idea.

Actually I think you're right. At Pete's store the other week there was a new Morse and I was thinking exactly the same thing! I think it's coming darker too. (And you can't see as much green from the poplar in the colour.)

Beej, that's where I noticed it after seeing some photo's from Pete's Y2D bash. Since then I've seen a few more on ebay.

wolfbone, do you mean that one-off, Thommy mentioned or Steve´s #1 which is also piezo equipped?

I´m total scared. Never seen this one-off that doesn´t have the other pickups and I´m a real Morse fan for years now :confused: On the Living Loud gig he played a Line 6 guitar in this ballad where a sitar is needed (In the name of god, I think)
