While we're on the topic of SR eqing elsewhere...

I havent had the chance to play an SR4 being where i am (Singapore). So here i am asking you experienced folks this question (dont kill me pls):

Besides Flea's amplifier attributes and preamp settings, roughly what kind of onboard EQ settings you reckon he used to get the slap tone in Aeroplane? Do you think he used the same EQ settings for the other parts of the song i.e. Verse + bass solo? Thanks :o

Thanks mate, thats a whole lot gear hes using (as expected). I guess GK amps are an integral part of his sound, since he mikes-in! I set off this thread after listening to Coldtrain's Stingray sounds thread. Somehow his slapping tone sounds texturally different from Flea's. Btw, I love your Stingray to death :D

You love my stingray? Which one? Where'd you see it?

Flea's gotta 'Whole Lotta Gear' for sure, and a nice, pro tech to take care of it all for him!

Hi,

I linked my way to pics of you and your band, and saw your black (or was it Black cherryburst?) SR4 :D

I'll get one just like yours in a few months time! It's going to be a very slow 'few months' for me... :(

Ah, of course!

I like her too. A '97 (Flea-inspired) purchase!
