hey, ive finally registered onto here after reading everyones threads for quite a while. i recently bought my first mm a week ago. i love the sound of it. and the feel of the neck. its a natural finish, stingray, 4 string. but, i swung by where i purchased it today and saw they had a stingray hh up on the wall. i gave it a try expecting it to be very versatile with the stingray sound.. and of course, it sure was... ive got my 30 day no question return policy, and im expecting a call tomoro letting me know what colors they can get in for me for the hh, im pretty stoked.. im curious on who else has got an hh, and how much more versatile do they find them to be compaired to the single humbucker.

i have an HH Ray ... I was waiting for my HS Sterling to be built and randomly swung by a guitar store and tried out the HH Ray and I was floored! So much so that i bought one a few days later even tho i had a new Sterling coming within a week.

IMHO ... the HH Ray is about 12 million times more versetile! Between the 5 way switch and the EQ knobs its really a monster of a bass. At pos 1 you have the Ray that we all know and love, but with a slip of a switch you have 4 more amazing tones ... then you turn the knobs and the possibilites are pretty much endless. Also ... i spent a bit of time scewing around with pickup height (just for fun) and even more possibilities opened up.

I LOVE the neck bucker solo'd ... great sound with that guy all by itself! then you can have that and the bridge together as well ... you get a tone that a J bass dreams of when its cryign itself to sleep.

Then toss in the numerous different types of strings you can put on it. bright strings, flats, old strings, new strings ... its awesome!

Im summary the HH Ray is one kick ass bass. It really is. I love it.

Welcome:)

I have a HH Stingray 5 on order. Im expecting it to be the most kickass bass ever :) Im not usually someone who plays with knobs and needs a versatile bass; my sterling knobs never change, i get one tone and keep it, but with the HH i might play around some.

You'll have your ray tone, plus 4 other different tones to choose from, for not much more $$ at all. It was a easy call to make in my opinion! HH!!!!!!!:) :) :)

the one i sold sends me all these emails begging for forgivness and asking if she could ever "fix" whatever it is that she did wrong. poor girl needs rehab and therapy ... even then, ive moved on :p

I sold one last week, but she went to Estonia and lives mostly on a cruise ship, so she's much happier than she was with me. Poor girl never got any attention from me:D
