I think in the press release for the BC Ltd.Ed. they were coming at it as a "Vintage" kind of finish and feel with the Buttercream and so I think the dots are part of that as well as the fact that they're not white plastic dots but rather cream coloured dots too, I know I get alot of comments on the Bongo's cresent markers but I think I dig the dots on the BC.
