Strange MM EVH for sale

I saw a strange Music Man EVH for sale on another forum and some people are discussing its authenticity.:
Serial number: N°80632
What I found suspicious:
* It comes with a gig bag (and not a hard case ???)
* The tuning keys and toggle switch cap are black
* There are some scratch marks behind the EVH signature
* And the strangest thing: look at the last picture, there is a hole under the vibrato so you can pull it up.
Can that be a special order or this guitar has been modified ?
The guy is asking for a huge price (3000€) and the guitar is not in very good condition.

Looks real to me, although he has had work done on it to route the trem and make it floating. The toggle switch and tuners have been replaced (or at least the tuner buttons have) so I would not consider it anywhere near original condition. You could change back the knobs and tuners, but that routing is permanent. Wouldn't touch it for half that price...
 
man. why would someone route that guitar?! looks real to me too, but I woulden't give them a penny more than $800US for it. that's an outreagous price they are asking.
 
No, it is not. The toggle switch and tuner knobs are not original either
 
I wouldnt mind a floating floyd Axis either but I wouldnt pay 3000 euros for it - or would I take a router to my guitar!! :eek:
 
Is it just me, or does the finish in the last pic look rough? Almost like a texture to it....
