This might be something that's already been addressed here - but does anyone know where I might pick up a fancy guitar strap featuring the Music Man logo, etc. to go with my new stingray 5? Also, any other accesories would be nice also.

As petty as this sounds... But do any of these by chance have the Music Man logo instead of or in addition the Ernie Ball logo?
 
And! These straps with the EB logo are kind of skinny....like for a guitar player or something.

Jon, tell these guys that we are BASSISTS, and fiercely proud of it, and we need wider straps!

never used 'em - what's the difference?

i've never had any problem with the originals....
 
Uhhh... The original what? Mine came with strap buttons, not locks. The locks are two piece. One goes on the strap and, with the Schalllers, it has a horse shoe shape that slides onto the button on the guitar. There is a spring loaded post in the middle of the horse shoe that locks into the button. No way the strap is going to come loose until you pull out the post to release it. I started using them after one of my basses hit the ground when the strap came loose. It happened while I was just standing around, not playing. The chances of it hitting the ground are a lot less when you are playing, but we all stand around just letting it our instruments around our necks between songs.
 
I recently got a set of the Dunlop Dual Design (?) straplocks, and I think they're great. Strap buttons appear the same as standard ones, but the connection from the strap fits inside the button with a ball bearing lock that is released by pressing a button...I know that doesn't make too much sense, but it's kind of like one of those two piece keychains....http://www.copshop.com/Merchant2/me...&Product_Code=CB-5607KT&Category_Code=PALM-SO ...yeah, kind of like that.
 
Now that you explained that, I do remember a guitar player having a set of those. For some reason I got started on the Schallers and that's what I've used since. I think anyones crazy to play without some kind of strap locks though.
