hey... does anyone know if styrofoam will harm the finish of a Albert Lee SSS guitar? I'm trying to put it in a strat case but the case is a little too long and I wanted to put a little styrofoam at the bottom of the guitar if it wont harm anything. Its that rubbery (is that a word?) kind of styrofoam that comes in the box when they ship toner cartridges for printers thanks

Did you lose the original case? It doesn't seem like putting it in a strat case would really be the best idea, as it isn't shaped correctly to protect it.
Regarding your question, the finish on that is polyurethane, which is for the most part chemically inert. There should be no issues with styrofoam.

Thanks for the reply. I bought the guitar used and it didn’t come with a case. I’ll buy the proper case when I find one but am looking for a temporary solution as I’m not a fan of leaving guitars sitting around the house out of a case. It will probably never leave the house

Almost nothing will harm the poly finish on an EBMM. You have nothing to worry about.
At home all my guitars are out nearly all the time. Guitars in cases don’t get played. When they are sitting around the house in different rooms I am much more likely to play them. Just have to make sure the cat doesn’t damage the one which is sitting on the couch, she likes to rest her head on it while napping (the JP XI).
