Swappin' Out Stock P/U's on my SS

I have a SWEET MMSS (vintage sunburst w/white perliod pick guard) and LOVE everything about it EXCEPT the pickups that came from the factory.
I am a blues/rock player and need something hotter and a bit 'dirtier' than the super-clean set up that came with the guitar.

I have a S-S-H arrangement, and have ordered replacement pickups:
- a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker (for the bridge)
- a JB junior (for the middle)
- a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound for the neck

Anyone out there have any opinions on this particular arrangement of p/u's and what I might expect after I get 'em put in?

I'm not fond of SD pu myself. But I have woed a few JB and a JB Jr.

Good choices, the JB is great all around pickup for just about anything, metal, rock, blues, you name it and it will do just fine.

Don't know about the neck pickup, never had any experience with those ones....but goos job with the JBs

Thanks for chiming in, dude. I have had good experience in the past with a SD '59 reissue bridge p/u and a SD Pearly Gates splittable humbucker at the neck on my old guitar (lower end Ibanez). They were warm and had plenty of attitude, but once I entered the world of Ernie Ball guitars 2 years ago, I found a guitar that played like a dream, but couldn't get the sound I wanted out of it...the silent circuitry and the stock p/u's were just too quiet and sterile for me.

What genre do you play?
