Oh boy.

She arrived a couple days ago. What a stunning axe! But more importantly, she plays and sounds superb.

Got her used. Stock everything and mint. These p90s are nice.

Chimey, meaty with useable quack. Can't beat it.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm liking it a lot.

Need to send the serial # in and find out her DOB.

I recently picked up a mint axis super sport up...that's what really got me on the MM journey (along with a sweet PV EVH Special)

I dig the SS but I think I'll be unloading her after getting my hands on the MM90. For me, the AL will do everything that the SS does but with more spank/quack and growl.

Cheers and will do (serial #)

Yep, she's a beaut.

The plan was to thin down to 'just' the MM90, my Danocaster esquire (another serious instrument) and my 2013 R8, but this MM90 has me thinking I should let the R8 go and get an AL HH.

Decisions.

Anyone ever try lollar p90s in their MM90? I really have no desire at this point to consider a PUP swap, as these stock P90's sound fantastic. I'm just curious to get people's perspective on the difference in tone.

I tried an Axis MM90 that had a Suhr S90 in the bridge. All types of good raunch with that one. That being said, the MM90s are worth keeping unless you are trying for a completely different sound like a filter'tron or need some hum cancelling pickup.

Jammed this evening. The Al sounded great - stellar sounds through my mate's 68 PR reissue...nice, organic breakup at a reasonable volume.

Here's a nice shot of my MM's. I must say, I dig the feel and profile of the Al's neck over the SS neck - a little more substantial, maybe?
