Off Topic The loss of my loyal friend

Hi All

Been a while since I posted and I am sorry this has to be first one for a while, last weekend we lost our German Shepherd Blade, my wife and me are totally devastated, he has left a massive hole that I doubt we cannot fill. A lot of you will understand as this is also a forum for pet lovers as well as the guitars.

Take it easy guys.
 
That's sad, I'm very sorry for you and know how you feel. I lost my Great Dane a few years ago, he was a big old lunk always by my side and I thought of him as my best friend. I cried for days, probably weeks.

the hardest day in my life was the day I had to dug a grave for "Apollo", my beloved dog for 10 years.
A grown man in his backyard, raining like crazy, with a shovel honoring the tough little guy he was with the last thing I could do for him.
And yes .. I cried my heart out...still could when I think of that day today and its been almost 12 years.


I know how you feel brother, for sure. I`m so sorry for the both of you.
My best wishes to you and the wife, be strong.

Thanks for sharing that Meckintosh, it is heart breaking but the years they give are always with us, take care.

A very sad news. Our pets are a part of our family.
Keep in your heart all the great memories Blade gave you.
My avatar is my cat (called Lucifer) who died a few years ago. The best cat I ever met ! But my new cat (a she-cat called Aurore) is also very nice.

I am so sorry for your loss. When your pet is one of the family it really hurts. Try to stay positive. :)
 
Hey Jamie, I have a dog that we love and we almost lost him last year, its a horrible pain, but I do believe dogs go to heaven :) stay strong my friend..

So sorry for your loss and my heart and prayers go out to you and your wife, it is so tough losing a beloved dog, they are family.

It has been almost two years since we lost the crazy fingbeagle, aka Bunny the Beagle, my baby girl who I still miss and love.

It does get better just hang in there, fyi Bunny is my avatar:)
