Hey guys,
Lukather here. Biff just re-set my password so i am back!
Been on the road for 9 weeks straight , USA in June and then Europe for the rest of the time. i am toast but it we did great biz for a bunch of old fags. hahaha .
I have 10 days off and then a quick run to Salt lake, Vegas and the Wiltern on Sept 9th in LA. I will hen be able to take some MUCH needed tile off as I have been out pretty much since Feb.
I miss all you cats and chicks. The Dargin special looks like a killer and I gotta have one!
i have to catch up on all the info in here as I havent really been on line much since I left. i came back to 1000 e mails, most which want me to e mail mySpace for pussy. i have NEVER been on MySpace??? Unreal the bull**** they send you . We all get it. Its AOL and I am just too lazy to change it.
I hope y'all are doin well and enjoying the summer, hot as hell as it was anyway. We had a few gigs where I thought I was gonna melt due to the humidity as well as the heat.
Had some yuks on some of the festivals in europe. We did a gig with Motorhead, I KNOW, you say HOW?? Well in Europe they have a really open mind with music. It would never work here. lemmy and theh cats are old friends and there were 25,000 people that dug both bands. They camp out all week and no one gets hurt or arrested. What a concept huh! NEVER in the USA! all ages. Fun really. Did a show with satriani. Joe is a great cat and we haave some more stuff we are gonna do together. There is a benefit show with Joe and Steve Vai that i was asked to pasrticipate in for an old friend. There will be tons of other great players there. LA Sept 30th. I think its the House o Blues but i am not sure. Check out the papers on that one.
In the meantime I shall be checking in.
You old pal

Hope you can do the gig with Joe & Steve - Cliff is a good guy.

Glad you are back (and maybe resting).

Can't wait to see you onstage with a Dargie Luke strapped on and a Martini in one hand! :D

Welcome back Mr. Lukather!!!

Thanks for chiming in.

Here's a couple of pics of the Dargie Delight.
I think you'll especially like the replacements of the dots on the fretboard. ;)

Phil's like "The Pied Piper" when he gets home - he's great with all the young kids and is a great ambassador - but boy he knows how to party !!!

Lucious, great to have you back during a much-deserved break in the action!

I hope you've left your schedule open for the November 4th bash in Dallas... maybe you'll be playing with Biff Baby?

Enjoy your time off, and thanks for hanging out with us knuckleheads for a bit.

Thanks for the welcome back guys!

All Biff has to do is ask me. If I am around I am IN! Always! I dont know what this event is but if I am around and Biff asks me I will be there. I think I am gonna take the rest of the year off after the Oct dates, for the most part anyway. I need to refuel. Its been a great albiet busy year but I need to rest and relax and enjoy life. We start again in late Feb thru summer at least and I gotta wrie a solo record and reocrd that at some point. lots of cool opportunitys. I am VERY lucky to get paid to plkay the guitar thats for sure!

Nice to hear from y'all again and I hope everyone is well and happy and healthy.
The question "do I drink or gamble"? Hmm, maybe Biff should answer that. hahaha
Yes I do. I love to gamble but 99% of the time I just gove money to the casinos. They ALWAYS win in the end anyway but its fun. I am in the music biz..thats a true gamble and I have done well there after 32 years in.

Welcome back ya old roaddog!!!!! Nothin like gettin home after a long stretch!!! I worked for a band in the 80's who shall go nameless and we did 325 shows in one year and I think maybe 10 of em were 2 night in one place!!! That almost killed me and I was in my 20's then. No doubt now they would bring me back in a box from that many shows now!!!! Saw Ya at Penns Peak in the Poconos---great gig!!!!! I saw on Simons site that the night before wasn't that great a venue and his main complaint bout PA was the lack of a restaurant at the hotel----that sux--what the hell is that all about?????? A hotel without eats??? Worthless. Welcome back--kick back and have a frosty adult beverage!!!!!!!!!!
