I hit the GC at Peoria Ave. in Phoenix this morning!

I didn't get the 20% discount.........

But it was so cute, I had to bring it home anyway!

The perfect bottom for the perfect top!

Now the funny bit...... I walked in and went directly to the MarkBass area, and they had three cabs...

None of them the Traveler 151P........

I asked the sales guy to check and see if there were any more in the valley.

He comes back and says he has one in stock, but it's spoken for.

But that he hasn't been able to get hold of the guy.

Says he will try once more to call and if the guy doesn't answer, he'll sell it to me.

So, off he goes to call..... A second later my cell phone rings, it's my wife.

She says "Some guy named Matt is calling from Guitar Center asking if you still want your cabinet".......

According to Peter Murray, the Markbass stuff was getting the 20% discount. I'd go back with your receipt (so long as it was within the 8 to 10 a.m local time) and get the adjustment. The discount won't apply to the warranty portion (which is about $80) but should apply to the rest.

If it was anything like the one near me, you could tell them that you were in line since before 10 a.m. (All the registers had lines about 30 deep when I was there this morning and couldn't buy anything if I had wanted). There was one lone LMII that nobody seemed to be interested in.

Someone posted in another thread that their local GC was giving the 20% all day. I'd check into it if I were you and see if they just thought the MB stuff didn't get the discount.

RitchieDarling I only wish I could test that setup and buy it if I liked it. That is exactly what I wanted to put together but with all the crap I have laying around I would have to sell some of it to afford that.

I heard the GC's were offering the 20% all day!!

Well, I stopped back in the local GC tonight and the LMKII was still sitting there. I chatted with the manager about it, tried it with a 30th anniv SR and it sounded great through the MB 210 cab. I told him I wanted to buy it on Friday but it was too crowded. I said that if the same deal was available that I'd buy it. He looked it up in the computer and the 20% was still available. So . . . I now have the LMKII.
