Welcome to the forum.

That's an impossible question for someone to answer. You need to go out and try both of them and decide which one is right for you.

You might even decide that a Sterling or Bongo fits your needs better than a 'Ray.

Welcome to the forum.

Pretty well any EB bass built will suffice. Your choice. IMHO the Bongo is the best place to start.

very, very true. As a recent SR4 HH owner I do have to say that the HH really blows me away but it is up to you. Try em out and your ears & hands will let know which one you should buy

good luck and keep us posted!

thanks i suppose it was a silly question , went to my local dealer today and tryed both i was totaly blown away with the hh damm what a mother that is . made up my mind it most definatly the hh . the bongo is a great git but to be honest i just cant get my head around the shape . well ive ordered it and my aria sbr80 is due for a long earned retirment she did me well for over 18 years .never sell her shes part of the family .

On second thought. I will honestly say. The Bongo single H is the most outspoken of all EB basses and if you got that one then your wife will never be mad at you cuz you probably only need one bass.

Knowing the rest of these guys like I do they are going to try and tell you I am wrong.

I ain't wrong unless my wife tells me I am and don't any of you ever forget that.

Hehe...

The sterling does a great job as a funk machine (though 4String)... but I suspect any of these beasts would sound brilliant coupled with the right rig setup...!!

I must not be a member of "the rest of these guys".

One pickup, one brain. It works for me.

Single H bongo or HH sterling in Butter cream are my dream choices. Especially because I can't get that color. Jack, do you know if any single H BC Bongos where ever made?

Okay Jack but you aren't my wife either are you?

Not as far as I know. I stay busy here, complying with Erika's whims so I really don't have a lot of time to boss you around, Tom.

I don't know for sure, Col, but it seems unlikely.
