Here's a link to a thread at the H.C. forum.
The photoshoppers there are having fun with Zakk Wylde.

I think Zakk's a good player but his tough-guy shtick is pretty tired. Crap, I remeber when he first joined Ozzy he was practically a chick.

That is 2 funny.
I saw him at this year's Ozzfest and although the sound was good, his demina was not the best.
I hate it when people start believing their own press. Also, in recent pics (notably the Marshall Ad.) you can see how much he should Lay Off the booze, he looks like a down and out whino with blotchy red face.
He is a better guitarist than me (maybe than I will ever be) but I really don't think he is THAT good compared to many. He needs some diversity I reckon.

The boy has issues.
I think he needs anger management classes.
I saw him when he first hooked up with Ozzy, and was totally turned off by his attitude and overall persona.

I am a UK Citizen and think Ozzy is a National Treasure (wether he is "past it" or not these days) but Sharon, SHEESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guitar hero through default methinks. Great player but not a hero for me. Ozzy was still getting a ton of press when the shred/metal stuff fell through.

sorry,

Jonny

He does the Pentatonic thing really well, but I think he relies on it too much. He's got some great chops, but limiting himself to those scale patterns almost exlcusively makes his playing way too predictable.

Now, I'd love to have his chops and trick bag of Pentatonic licks, but I'd throw in some different licks based on other scale forms every now and then to freshen things up a bit. The two-string/two-note Jimmy Page hammer-on pull-off thing gets a little old after a while. :)

Now he does have some killer chicken pickin' licks that I'd love to learn how to play...
