Why have a Les Paul when you can have an Armada?

Why have a Strat when you can have an A.L. or a Silhouette?

Why have anything!!! if you can have an Axis Super Sport?

I think I may have to re-prioritize my guitar collection. Am I crazy? I just keep coming back to my Super Sport and think, damn, this is the best guitar ever. Ernie Ball knows how to make guitars.

It's pretty cool to hear so many people say the same thing: once they play the ebmms the rest of their guitars are either sold or hardly ever played. I experienced the same epiphany, so it makes me feel a little less crazy.

I sold a Gibson three weeks ago. It was a cool guitar no doubt, but if I'm going to pick up my Axis every time I reach for a guitar, what's the point?

What happens when you start reaching for a different EBMM than your trusty Axis? After 17 years the HHAL is becoming king..

Super Sports are incredibly versatile. Been a while since I've done much playing - but I always know that there will be no problems or surprises whether it's been a day/week/month or more in-between play time :) 8-)

Congrats on your recent realization :)

cheers always,

Joel

Whenever I think about it, I always come back to the realization that my Axis SS can do everything well. Sure there are other guitars if you are really trying to get a 100% specific sound, but for what this guitar offers as far as sound and reliability, its hard to match. Sure you can go with the other guitars, but then will you have locking tuners, a breeze adjustment of a truss rod, curved neck joint, compensated nut, unfinished neck, lightweight guitar overall, etc.? I personally find these things a little more important but that's me :)
