The neck-through Stingray features a three-piece maple neck. Have EBMM revealed what/where the three pieces are? I'd guess that from the tip of the headstock to the end of the body is one piece, with side pieces glued on to make the maple section of the body (and the neck?) wider.

Somebody with knowledge please spill the beans. Inquiring minds want to know! :)

From your description it sounds like the 3 pieces are maple.

Construction wise it's probably similar to most NT instruments in the world just like you also described.

The pictures of the back of the neck-thru stingray on music-man.com show pretty much exactly what you've described.

I wonder how much of that is for ease of construction--by making the "neck" wider in the body area they can run a single piece of wood through all the routing processes for the pickup cavities, drilling for the bridge, etc.
