torn betweem amp heads

ok im torn
ive decided between a Peavey tour 450
or a LM II
im leaning towards of peavey cause as of the next 2 weeks i can get a great price
unless u guys can convince me otherwise...

other amp head suggestions are welcome

Life is too short to allow those kind of dilemmas. If the Peavey is all you can afford go for it. It not play them both and decide which sounds best to you.

If you are bound to listen to those here it will be buy the Markbass.

yeah i figured im throwing my options to a markbass pro/biased crowd
but i was hoping for that one guy that can give me a good reason to go otherwise
like looking at customer reviews i dont look at the good reviews but the few bad reviews items get

Get the one that sounds best to YOU. If it turns out that you choose incorrectly, you can always sell, trade, or whatever and get the other. Nothing is permanent.

how risky would u guys say it is to buy a used amp head?

How risky would you guys say it is to buy a NEW amp head? I've had one dead out of the box and one fail after 30 minutes.

I have a LMK II, and I think it's amazing. I can get any tone I could possibly want from it, and it's cleaner and clearer than anything I've ever used before, especially in combination with my Bongo. Plus it's LOUD, at least for a 500 watt head. I love Peavey too, but for me it was the Markbass.

My Peavey was used. Has plenty of long gigs under it belt. It being a firebass 700

A LM II is going to be a killer amp used or otherwise.

Life is a roll of the dice. Surest way to loose it to let someone else roll for ya.

I know zip about current Peavey bass amps.

I have an older one (SessionBass) that works purdy good, but two things:

1. It was cheap.
2. It's heavy.

Oh, yeah, also this:

3. It doesn't sound all that great.

I'd take the Markbass every time, but I can understand the money being an issue.

Man That should be a No Brainer. Peavey is ok if you don't mind sounding like that, But I think your gonna see the Mark Bass being the New Amp of the Future, Just give him time to get secured on the Map, I've looked inside of both AMPS,

Having a Peavey deal at one time in my life the quality of what's inside is what Matters for long Lasting Amps.

Although Mark Bass Amps are fairly new to the scene, the quality of the parts he uses are top notch, Peavey Parts are very cheap, The amps sound decent but I've never had one last for more then 2 years of road touring before they died.
So Buy a Mark Bass and it maybe your last amp you'll ever need.

get what you can afford.........it's all good.

If you go peavey...buy used. They don't hold much value bought new. I'd go for a used Mark Bass or small Eden head (wt405, wt550).

I 've had to use Peaveys that were provided as backline and have never gotten a good sound . I've use most of the Markbass amps and they are in another league. It 's a no brainer . Pony up for the Littlemark.
