First off - you can't have this one, it's a customer's bass that's in for repair.

This bass is GORGEOUS!


Serial is B001690 which makes it frikkin old as far as I'm concerned. Gavin, any info?

He did mention an interest in getting a new bass - I was going to offer him the natural HH SR4 that we just got in, but if you want it for the wall.... I will be talking to him in the morning. Please shoot me an email if ya'd like my home number. The bass is here at home and she's stunning.

If I had the reigns it would be two single H bongos in exchange. I am not fond of 4 strings but that one I would have if within my powers.

How cool is that?

You bring your crusty old bass in for some work and the shop tells you "Oh, by the way, the president of Ernie Ball called...he wants to trade you a brand-new bass for yours."

If the guy's smart he'll jump at that, knowing that it couldn't go to a better place...plus he'll have a cool story to tell.

If he's not he might get greedy and try to hawk it on ebay for a ridiculous price as a collector's item.

That's not entirely fair, he might just like the bass and want to keep it.

A big ol' +1. He's not required to do anything. And, if he does decide to sell it on eBay, that's his prerogative, too. Hell-if he decides to route out a PBass pickup at the neck and paint the bass purple, it's his to do with as he pleases.

Any character or intelligence judgements based on what he decides to do are uncalled for, and rude.

If it were me, though, and I heard that Sterling wanted it for the collection, I'd immediately say "YES!"

Just because I'd have the satisfaction of knowing that my bass was that important.
