It could probably be restored to a decent playing EVH assuming you could replace the missing neck pickup with a real EVH/Axis neck pickup. It would be nothing more than a player at this point though. Maybe in years to come it would regain some collectable status. But for now, probalby not as much.

The arguement against what I just said is the fact that people are talking about buying it fo $700. I can't imagine anyone paying $700 for an Axis in this condition.

The crack on the back of the neck is the only thing that truly concerns me. If I had an extra $700 lying around, I suppose I'd think about it.
 
It is nice but I paid less than 900 dlls for an EVH a couple of years ago that is in very good shape, this one may be too much of trouble... still very nice to have...
 
well i didnt notice the crack in the neck so im out for sure ,i would only want one just for the collection as a filler until i got a good one but the more i thought about it the more it didnt seem worth it to me

the price is abit high in my opnion. i got a mint axis amber quilt with a beutifal flame neck with no dirt for 900. so i dont see how he can ask that much. i have seen this one before so it looks like he is having trouble selling it. the other thing that concerns me is how the heck you gonna get a axis or evh neck pibkup. they dont show up on ebay and ebmm isnt gonna sell you one unless you return the original.
