Anybody have a trem arm on a vintage EBMM bridge get stuck? Like someone took a hammer and pounded it in? If so how did you get it out/fix it?

BTW I already contacted customer service just waning to know if anyone else has had this issue, also lesson learned put a used guitar you buy site unseen through the ringer
 
I had mine being very very tight to pull. I found that the term plate hole was misaligned with the brass block and was making the arm to wedge. I loosened those 3 screws that attach the plate to the block, aligned the holes better and tightened everything carefully as it tends to shift when tightening. That fixed it. When I say misaligned, it was by very very little, but was enough to “bite” the arm. Not sure if it’s the same, but check it out.
 
Can't say I've had that happen. There is a screw in the block that keeps the arm in place, but it shouldn't stick it like that.
 
Thanks, yes it is not the set screw which is for the tightness of the arm swing, I completely removed it, have not heard back from CS, so unusual, thanks for the responses , guess I am going to take it apart, PM if you want to know the worthless seller
 
Glenn , trust me I have tried everything, it is not coming out, so pissed at the worthless seller, trying to secure a new trem block
 
Keith, on the underside of the block (directly in line with the bar) is a threaded hole. Inside this hole is a hex screw that sets the total depth of the bar. Tightening the screw with the appropriate wrench may slowly force the bar up enough that it comes loose.
 
So to update , I was able to get the trem arm out but not how one would think or how it is supposed to come out.

The lying seller stated it was the original trem arm which should just pop in and out but this one screwed in like a Fender Strat does .

Did EBMM ever do a screw in trem,? this guitar is 2012 so does not predate EB buying Music man

So the dealer is Music Makers from Galesburg IL just so you know to stay away.
 
With 100% certainty a 2012 should have a pop-in bar (not a screw-in). I don't think the EBMM Vintage Trem ever had a screw-in bar, but I do have a tickle in my brain remembering an EBMM with a screw in. But very old like early 90s. Not a Schaller trem tho, I never had one with a Schaller (believe it or not). I've had the same thing on an EBMM Silhouette where the seller stuck a Fender trem arm in there because he apparently lost the original one (or maybe just thought they were interchangeable.

Yep, now I have to put it back together, clean it up, restring and be honest on the condition of the trem, going to take a bath on this one, so done.

Again seller is on reverb and claims to be a EBMM dealer, Music Makers LLC Galesburg, beware
 
Oy. Sorry, man. :(

The bridge looked like an EBMM bridge -- is it not? Sucks that you're dealing with that but I'm also glad to know I wasn't entirely crazy thinking that trem didn't look quite right.
