Of course, I am not the person to ask about these things. We have one strand of lights outside, which we put up 5 years ago and have not taken down since (no, I don't live in a trailer).

Except for the strand of lights, decorating at Christmas time consists of trimming the tree, which stands in front of the picture window. We open the curtains so everyone can admire, er, look at it.
