I play a 5 string -ray through Mesa's tractor of an amplifier, the 400+. It sounds F-ing awesome but I think I'm eating through power tubes about every 9-10 months. I usually play it with the gain at 3 and volume at 2 and even then the output of the stingray is booming. Anyone have similar problems? Is it just tubes or could it be something else....P.S. I have already gone to boogie and had them change the preamp tubes. Anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?
