Tuners

Ok. I've been struck by curiosity.

On most SR4s i've played and the 2 i've owned, the tuners have been somewhat stained and it's really a pain in the a$$ to get off. Although, not one SR5 i've seen has this same problem? Is it just coincidence or is there something i'm missing?

coincidence, grasshopper....clean them and they will stay nice.

So THAT'S why my SR5's tuners are spotless.

I clean them with the EB polish cloth every few days and they still look pretty good......

The tuners on my sterling are tarnished, as in not shiny they have almost a Satin appearence, i think it kicks ass, im just puzzled as to why the metal they used did that. It definitely just looks like satin hardware, if you've ever seen it, they use it on some drums..

I understand the reason 4 stringers have them nasty tuners. I hear those guys that play four string all the time pick their noses.
