i tell you what...i bought that Kramer on a wing and a prayer, had never owned one before. that is one rockin' little guitar. original floyd, zebra duncan, nice action, flawless finish. best $700 i ever spent!!!
the only leg these charvels have to stand on is the fact that they are a piece of history. (i'll give them that) it is kind-of a big deal that these guitars are being built in honor of Eddie's originals.
But there needs to be a little reality inserted somewhere in the mix!
Realisticly, how much does it cost charvel to make these guitars? $500-$700?? I realize eddie must get his cut, actually, that is the reason for the inflated prices. or just plain GREED!!
We have all bought the CDs, the concert tickets, t-shirts, stickers, keychains, straps, pins, videos, 8-tracks, tapes, DVDs, posters, pedals, picks, tab books, magazines, strings, amps....now we are expected to pay $2600-$3000 for a bare-bones strat style w/ a floyd?
I got fogged by the hype...and they almost got me, but i woke up and smelled the coffee! (thank god...i would have had to get a second job to pay for it
