I'm getting email that the link doesn't open. I tested it again. It works for me. If it's not working for someone, one thing is just click it, don't cut and paste it cuz for some reason it is truncated in the forum display, even though it works OK.

The single H is the best... I like the HH Bongos I have but I LOVE my H and the next one will actually be an HP fretless (I still wish I could find some one to trade my 5HH for a 5H). I love the M Gold... if I add one of those then I'll have the lifesaver pack of basses:D

Are you questioning the fact that it's fretless or the fact that it has lines?

I'm assuming you're questioning the lines, since fretless basses are not particularly controversial.

Some of the best bassists in the world play lined fretless basses. TL comes to mind.

I've seen purist arguments against lines, but IMHO it's silly. Kind of like asking a race car driver to choose shift points based on the sound of the engine, rather than providing a tachometer.

Purists who think lines are for wimps should also dispense with dots on the side of the neck. If a positioning reference in the form of a line that tells you where to put your finger is unacceptable, then a positioning reference in the form of a dot on the side of the neck should likewise be unacceptable, no?
