upgrading a stingray

That would mean carving out a new batter cavity...ugh. Unless you put like a 4band Preamp in there I can't see the point.

quite true
just wondering

i've been wanting to get a 18v preamp bass
which i looked at bongo at first
but decided to order ray5 instead :p

just wondering you know ..
people said more headroom ...

I had an 18volt Kubicki... there really is no difference to me. Heck, I wish that stingrays would have a pull passive switch to be honest. The sound of passive basses are more pure and woody. I'm thinking of getting the Bartolini replacement pickup/preamp(NTMB) which has an active/passive pull switch. Bass Northwest highly recommended it.
